The Honeycomb Cells

Honeybees work very hard every day. They collect sweet nectar from flowers. They bring this nectar back to the hive.
They need a safe place to store food. They build a special home. We call this home a honeycomb.
A honeycomb looks like a big yellow net. It hangs inside the dark hive. Bees build the honeycomb out of beeswax.
Bees make this wax with their own bodies. They use their legs and mouths to work. They chew the wax.
The wax becomes soft. Then they shape the wax into tiny cups. We call these tiny cups cells. The bees will put nectar in these cells later.
