How Paths Are Built

Every Learning Whistle path follows a structured 5-phase curriculum framework:

Foundation
Context and motivation
Core Concepts
Foundational principles
Mechanics
How it works in detail
Application
Real-world use
Synthesis
Integration and reflection

Every station is individually generated at the reading level you set — from Grade 3 to Grade 12 on the free tier. Content complexity is calibrated using Flesch-Kincaid grade targets, with per-dial sentence length, vocabulary, and syllable-density constraints enforced in every prompt. Specialist subject areas render notation natively: KaTeX for mathematics, physics, and chemistry; ABC and tablature for music; SMILES for molecular structures; IPA for linguistics; case law blocks for law; and Mermaid diagrams for engineering and computer science.

Quality Controls

Learning Whistle operates a Human-in-the-Loop editorial process for all catalog content:

  • Every seeded path is reviewed by the editorial team before entering the public catalog
  • Flesch-Kincaid scores are validated against dial-position targets during the QA process
  • All OG preview images are individually reviewed for accuracy and quality
  • AI content disclaimers are shown on every station — readers always know what they are reading

After every passed quiz, learners are invited to rate the station and leave an optional comment. Ratings feed directly into path quality scores, surfacing the strongest content and flagging anything that needs attention. Free-tier paths are generated by Gemini Flash Lite; premium Gold Line paths use Gemini Pro for greater depth and rigour.
